I have never been so often to the trift shop then in the last week and I made some good buys and some lesser buys. This iron rack I think is one of the good buys.When I saw it I new I did not want to leave the shop without it.Where I am going to put it I do not know but I wanted it!!Immediatly when I saw it I had visions of overflowing pots full of summer flowers and afterward I had the idea that this rack would also work for a big summer party. Can you imaging it full with plates af delious food and cakes???
There are also places for two planks that would be usefull to put plates and glasses on...O, I wish that I had a reason to fill it and have a big party !!!
Another buy I am very pleased about it this nickle plated samovar. I tought it would be a fun thing to have. I had no idea it was plugged for electricity when I bought it. I only saw this when I opened it at home to see that the electric cable was with it.And low and behold the thing worked!!! I added vinegar to de scale it and now it is clean and ready to use! But as you can see I have another somovar, a little one. This I already had for years and years. It was one of my first 'antique' buys. Never used or displayed but always kept. Now it has a big brother, I finally can give it a place in my home.
With my new shabby chic style interior I hated the fact that the cats where eating from an ugly plastic container. I already changed their drinking bowl from plastic to an old porcelain lion head bowl I had lying in the cellar and now I found another lionhead Bavaria porcelain terrine to do there kibbles in.The cats seams to like it and eat a lot less messy from this bowl. It was a steal a 3,5 euro. Why would you eat out of plastic it you can eat out of porcelain???

Haha, je poezenverhaal deed me lachen! Het worden zo mettertijd echte luxebeestjes! Dat ijzeren rek is een toffe vondst. Die zou ik ook buiten zetten of eventueel binnen met emmers erin waarin je dan schoenen of poetsspullen of zo in kan doen. Komt dat rek niet toevallig uit een bloemenwinkel? Het lijkt wel op die rekken die je bij ons bij de bloemist tegen komt. Groetjes, Marjolijn

I like the things you found at the thrift shop. That metal shelf will be good for lots of different things. I like the idea of it all filled with pots of plants.

Mooi die soepterrine voor je kat. Niet lang geleden zag ik hetzelfde idee op de blog acottageindustry.typepad.com. Grappig dat twee dames op twee verschillende continenten bijna op hetzelfde moment hetzelfde idee hebben. En leuke dingen heb je gevonden in je 'kringloopwinkel'.

Jou katten eten echt in stijl!!
Ik kom ook weer eens naar je vondsten kijken. Dat rek is natuurlijk helemaal te gek. Marjolijn zou zo maar eens gelijk kunnen hebben, maar jouw idee -tijdens parties volladen met borden en schalen met heerlijke hapjes- spreekt mij zeer tot de verbeelding!
Natuurlijk eten katten altijd in stijl! Anders zijn het geen picasakatten hoor! En bij de kringloop kun je nog eens een nieuw leeuwenkommetje kopen!
